We have some other good news to share: Mrs Knighton, who has been Co-Headteacher with me since September, is expecting another baby! She is planning to go on maternity leave just before half term in February. As I have other family commitments 2 days a week, the Rosary School Governors and Trustees of the Little Way Catholic Educational Trust have agreed the appointment of another Co-Headteacher to work at the school, until Mrs Knighton returns from maternity leave later in the school year. Mr Paul Batchelor is an experienced Headteacher of a church school, (one of the schools we worked closely with last year). He will be joining us in January for 2 days a week, so he can liaise with Mrs Knighton before she goes on maternity leave. After half term, Mr Batchelor will be Headteacher on Mondays and Tuesdays and I will be in school from Wednesday to Friday. I am delighted that we have been able to make this temporary appointment to cover for Mrs Knighton’s absence. We offer her congratulations on this wonderful news and wish her well for the rest of her pregnancy.
