The Rosary School Policies
The government has legislated that key school policies must be regularly reviewed and published on the website.
Some policies must be formally reviewed each year. These include the 'admissions policy' which is created in collaboration with other Catholic schools in the diocese. The school is obliged to publish annually the 'admissions policy'. Please click here to visit our Admissions page for details on our admission arrangements.
Other important policies which must be reviewed annually include the school's 'safeguarding policy', its 'special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) policy' and its 'health and safety policy'.
The school's 'accessibility plan' needs to be reviewed every three years and its 'equality information statement' needs to be reviewed every four years. The 'accessibility plan' is currently under review (November 2021).
Some of the school's legal documents must be maintained by its administrative staff but these are not for public consultation. These include the school register and the 'single central record' of recruitment and vetting checks. The 'register of business interests' of the governing board is included in the Governors section of the website.
The government recommends that the school's other policy documents are reviewed annually.
Outside the statutory list of a policies is a separate statutory requirement for the school to have a Policy for Relationships and Sex Education.
