Gospel Values
Gospel values are what Jesus said, what Jesus did and what he told us to do. They are at the root of Catholic social teaching and so they are what we abide by behaving towards others here at the Rosary. All of the Gospel values begin with and derive from Jesus’s Law of Love and are a perfect example for how our children should be.
The Gospels are supported by the lessons and guidance in the later books of the New Testament, especially The Acts of the Apostles and the Letters.
The Gospel values can be summarised as follows:
Respect for the Life and Dignity of Each Individual
Trust in God
Honesty
Compassion
Forgiveness
Mercy
Community
Servant Leadership
Equality
Simplicity
Justice
Peace
The ‘Golden Rule’ is that ‘we should love God and love another’.
