World Book Day -Thursday 7 March 2024
Mon 12 Feb 2024Once again, we are inviting the children to dress up for World Book Day, however, this year we are doing things a bit differently. We would like the children to choose a WORD to dress up as. This can be as simple or flamboyant as you wish to be! There is no need to buy any expensive costumes, please just use things you already have to hand at home! Your child could come “colourful” or as a specific colour. They could be fluorescent or camouflage. They could be spotty or stripy. S/he could be a hero and dress up as brave or be covered in stars to be magic. They could come as an animal or even the weather! A simple search online will reveal a wealth of ideas to help inspire you. The school staff are preparing for another “Masked Reader” video and a new and exciting competition will be launched after half term that we are looking forward to revealing to you! We cannot wait to see your children’s outfits on Thursday 7th March! Many thanks, Mrs Phillips (Early Reading Lead) and Mrs Forward-Davies (Writing and KS2 Reading Lead)
