NEW! Parent & Toddler Forest School
Calling all Parents & Carers with pre-school aged children!
We are excited to launch our new monthly Parent and Toddler Forest School sessions here at Rosary Catholic Primary School – a wonderful opportunity to slow down, get back to nature and enjoy some special one-to-one time with your little one in the fresh air.
These relaxed, play-based sessions will include exploring, den building, nature crafts, stories and plenty of muddy fun in our beautiful outdoor environment. It’s a lovely way for children to build confidence, curiosity and friendships while grown-ups connect too!
We’re offering a FREE taster session on Thursday 19th March, 9.30am – 11.30am. This is open to the whole Stroud community!

No, this event is for any pre-school children and their parents or carers.
Where is the event taking place?
We are very lucky to have our very own Forest School on site!
Our address here is:
The Rosary Catholic Primary School,
Beeches Green,
Stroud
GL5 4AB
Our 'What three words' are: October - Unite - Mission
Where can I park?
Parking is available at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, just a 2 minute walk from school. The Church have kindly agreed we can use their parking spaces for this event. Alternatively, you are able to park for free at Tesco and walk around, which will take about 5-10 minutes.
What should my child wear?
As this is an outdoor wooded event, please dress your child in long sleeved tops and trousers. We also recommend wellie boots. If the weather has been wet in the days before, it may be worth wearing or bringing with you, some waterproof clothing as well.
What if the weather is really bad?
Our children go out into Forest School in all weathers. It is important that children experience all types of weather, be that warm, sunny, windy or cold. It is what being in nature is about.
However, if the weather is too bad to be outside safely, we have made arrangements for Forest School activities to be brought into the school hall so you won't miss out on what is on offer.
Can I bring siblings?
This session is mostly aimed at pre-school children, however we have had interest from parents with children as young as 18 months. During the session, the parent or carer must take full responsibility of the child or children they bring with them. However, due to Forest School being on a slope, we wouldn't recommend bringing children younger than 18 months.
Do parents / carers need to stay for the session?
Yes, parents and carers must stay with their child for the entire session.
Are there toilet facilities available?
Yes, you will be able to use the school toilets. We have a disabled toilet should you require space for changing.
Will there be food and drinks provided?
Soft drinks and biscuits will be provided on the day.
