Little Way Week
Fri 04 Oct 2024This week our pupils have been celebrating the life of our patron, St Therese of Liseux. She is the patron saint of Mission, which means sharing God's life and love with everyone by loving and caring, just like Jesus. She dedicated her life to finding ways to get to heaven - little by little. This is what Therese called her Little Way. Therese made a commitment to do her small everyday tasks with great love. Our children spent time crafting for a joint display and were tasked with thinking about a couple of things they could do this week to follow in St Therese's little way. Little Acts, Great Love, Big Difference. Watch our video to find out more.

Important Staffing News
Fri 24 Nov 2023We have some other good news to share: Mrs Knighton, who has been Co-Headteacher with me since September, is expecting another baby! She is planning to go on maternity leave just before half term in February. As I have other family commitments 2 days a week, the Rosary School Governors and Trustees of the Little Way Catholic Educational Trust have agreed the appointment of another Co-Headteacher to work at the school, until Mrs Knighton returns from maternity leave later in the school year. Mr Paul Batchelor is an experienced Headteacher of a church school, (one of the schools we worked closely with last year). He will be joining us in January for 2 days a week, so he can liaise with Mrs Knighton before she goes on maternity leave. After half term, Mr Batchelor will be Headteacher on Mondays and Tuesdays and I will be in school from Wednesday to Friday. I am delighted that we have been able to make this temporary appointment to cover for Mrs Knighton’s absence. We offer her congratulations on this wonderful news and wish her well for the rest of her pregnancy.

Little Way Catholic Educational Trust
Fri 24 Nov 2023As anticipated, on 22 November 2023, the Governing Board voted to continue the journey to form the Little Way Catholic Educational Trust with 5 other Catholic primary schools in Gloucestershire. Our change in status from a Single Academy Trust to being part of a Multi-Academy Trust will take effect from 1 January 2024. It will be great to be part of a family of Catholic schools and work towards a shared vision. However, most aspects of the day-to-day running of the school will be unchanged. The name, uniform and ethos of our school will remain the same. We will continue to collaborate with local schools in the Stroud area. The Governing Board will become a Local Governing Committee and we will still have autonomy over how we spend our school funds.
