We pride ourselves in offering our pupils lots of opportunities to take part in activities and competitions. These opportunities help children explore what they are good at, what they do and don't enjoy, and lead to increased self-esteem and levels of wellbeing. Our staff very kindly give up their time to lead clubs, and organise our participation in events and competitions. Parents/carers can volunteer to support the staff with the running of the clubs too, and helping transport to and supervise pupils taking part in competitions. We are very grateful for the help we receive from them.
At the moment, due to Covid-19, we have delayed starting up our normal extracurricular activities. Three times a year, at the start of each term, we normally ask parents to tell us via a form which clubs their child(ren) are interested in. We then ensure a fair distribution of places in clubs is given out to our pupils, and confirm in writing which clubs your child(ren) have been allocated a place in.
Most clubs are free, but some ask for a small donation toward running costs. Please see our Policies and Procedures page for more details, in our 'Charging and Remission Policy'.

There are inter-house competitions throughout the year, as follows:
There is much excitement at school during these competitions!
For pupils who enjoy competitive sport, we have many opportunities to get involved with. We value inclusivity and ensure that all pupils who are keen to take part, are able to do so. Taking part and representing our school is seen by the pupils as an exciting responsibility. We have a sports record that has notched up an array of both wins and losses. All children who take part are praised for their effort and participation, and although we are very proud and excited by our wins, we show the pupils that the result is not the only thing that matters. Being polite to our competitors, and gracious in success and defeat is of great importance.
