Parking is available at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, just a 2 minute walk from school. The Church have kindly agreed we can use their parking spaces for this event. Alternatively, you are able to park for free at Tesco and walk around, which will take about 5-10 minutes.
As this is an outdoor wooded event, please dress your child in long sleeved tops and trousers. We also recommend wellie boots. If the weather has been wet in the days before, it may be worth wearing or bringing with you, some waterproof clothing as well.
Our children go out into Forest School in all weathers. It is important that children experience all types of weather, be that warm, sunny, windy or cold. It is what being in nature is about.
However, if the weather is too bad to be outside safely, we have made arrangements for Forest School activities to be brought into the school hall so you won't miss out on what is on offer.
This session is mostly aimed at pre-school children, however we have had interest from parents with children as young as 18 months. During the session, the parent or carer must take full responsibility of the child or children they bring with them. However, due to Forest School being on a slope, we wouldn't recommend bringing children younger than 18 months.
Yes, parents and carers must stay with their child for the entire session.
Yes, you will be able to use the school toilets. We have a disabled toilet should you require space for changing.
Soft drinks and biscuits will be provided on the day.
We are excited to be able to run our Forest School Holiday Club again here at The Rosary Catholic Primary School for the upcoming May half term – a wonderful opportunity for your child(ren) to be outdoors exploring, den building, nature crafts, stories and plenty of muddy fun in our beautiful outdoor environment.
It’s a lovely way for children to build confidence, curiosity and friendships while their grown-ups are able to continue working throughout the school holidays or just have some time to yourself to run errands or relax!
