Happy Easter

This morning the children led a lovely Easter Liturgy in church, reflecting on the events of Holy Week. We are still two weeks away from Easter itself, but it is good to be reminded of the sacrificial love shown by Jesus; he washed the feet of his disciples at the last supper he shared with them and allowed himself to be arrested, put to trial and executed. This is a hard example to follow, but in our everyday lives there will be many times when we have opportunities to put others first and make small sacrifices to help those in need. As Lent draws to a close and we look forward to celebrating Easter, let us try to hold on to an attitude of gratitude and generosity. These are the first Jesuit Virtues and Values that we will be focussing on in the Summer term. Miss Pollard, our R.E. subject leader, will share more information about this after the Easter holiday.

Meanwhile, I wish you all a happy, peaceful and truly blessed Easter.
