Welcome to our Year 2 page!

Our topic for the Autumn Term is

Stroud and Proud!

Click here for the Curriculum Map.

We are going to looking at the locality of our school in Stroud and identifying both physical and human geographical features.

*

Linked to our topic, here are a range of activities that the children might like to complete at home.

English

We are going to be exploring and reading the book Bog Baby by Jeanne Willis. Using this, we will write our own version of the story.

*

We are also focussing on our use of punctuation and the words we are choosing to make our writing exciting.

Maths

This term, we will be completing units on number and place value, geometry and addition.

Click here to see our knowledge organiser for this term.

Our class saint is Saint Paul

We have been learning about St Paul and created a display to share our learning about him with the rest of the school. We will continue to learn about Saint Paul throughout the year as well as celebrate his feast day in June.

Things to remember:

PE will be every Monday and Friday.

PPA - I will be out of class on a Friday afternoon.  Mrs Cairns will be teaching the children during this time.
