The Governing Body

The Governing Body of the Rosary School is responsible for ensuring that the school provides high quality learning and teaching in a supportive and caring Christian environment to develop each child’s potential.  Its responsibilities are to monitor and promote to the highest standard the following:

  • Progress and achievement of all pupils at the school
  • Quality of teaching and learning at the school
  • Behaviour and safety within the school
  • Quality of leadership and management of the school

Additionally, the Governing Body is responsible for:

  • Meeting all statutory requirements applicable to both staff, as an employer, and pupils
  • Promoting the spiritual, moral and cultural development of pupils
  • Ensuring equality for all, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disability

There is a Code of Conduct that all the Governors sign when appointed.

The Rosary Catholic Primary School became a voluntary academy on 1st September 2011. The Articles of Association are available to read here.
