Many thanks to Mrs Reader, our Year 1 TA, for arranging for friends from The Hospital for Hedgehogs to visit our school recently. They visited all classes and spoke briefly about how the hedgehog population in Britain has declined from 5 million in the 1950s to about 1 million today. They encouraged us to seek help for any injured hedgehogs that we might come across. We even got a chance to meet and touch some little hedgehog friends!!!!

Our Year 5/Year 6 Football team has successfully qualified for the Finals of the Stroud Primary Schools' Outdoor 6-a-side Football competition. We beat teams from Cashes Green and Kings Stanley and drew with Longney. We will now play in the Finals early in November. We finished as Runners-Up last year. Can we go ALL THE WAY this time around? Who knows?

Today was the day when the film crew was in school to make our very own Rosary School DVD. They filmed the children singing during Assembly, working in classrooms, in the hall and outside and they filmed the children at play and during lunchtime. The children were very well-behaved and a credit to us all. We can't wait to see the finished product!!!!

Well done to all the boys and girls in Year 5. They presented a wonderful assembly this week on the theme of God's Creation. The assembly included a group song, some short plays, children playing instruments and some readings and prayers. The children really enjoyed presenting this assembly and I am very proud of them!

Our Annual House Team Choir Competition took place this week. Our theme was 8os Classics! Among the songs sung were Don't Stop Believing, It Must be Love and I still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. But the winning song was The Frog's Chorus as sung by the boys and girls in Fatima! Their win was well-deserved! Well done to them and to their teacher Team Leader, Mrs Phillips!
