We have arrived in sunny Wales. Wen had a good trip down on the coach, however, there were lots of questions that sounded like "Are we nearly there yet?". Upon arrival we were shown around the centre and then had the usual, safety talk. We were then straight in to our first activities.
One group tried making a fire with firesticks and then made their own garlic bread with wild garlick. They then cooked this on the fire that they had made. This was good fun and a nice relaxing start to the week. Whilst 'man make...
We would recommend that children come to school in wellies or sturdy boots, but that they also bring a change of shoes to wear during lessons.
The wellies/boots can then be put on again during playtimes and lunch times.
A plastic bag would be useful to keep wet wellies/boots in during lesson times.

This Thursday 7th February we are celebrating Chinese New Year with a special school dinner. Thank you to Mr Bolger for supplying chopsticks so we can eat this chinese style!
The Rosary School is closed for pupils on Friday 8th February. The teachers will be sharing training with other local primary schools. Happy Half-term! See you all on Monday 18th February.

Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 football team who have qualified for the finals of the Stroud Primary Schools’ 6 A-Side Competition. In the preliminary round of the competition at Park Junior School, we won two matches and drew one, making us Group Winners. Well done to Park School, Woodchester School and Gastrells, who provided strong opposition. In the Finals next Thursday at Leonard Stanley School, the team will compete against Leonard Stanley and Kings Stanley

Congratulations to all of the children in the Lourdes House Team for the splendid work they did in preparing and carrying out our Hall of Fun Event.
It was a great success!
We managed to raise over £300 for Children in Need.
I would like to also thank all the children from other house teams who supported us AND the lovely, generous parents who baked cakes and donated items for the Lucky Dip, Face Painting etc.

Lourdes house are fundraising for Children in Need next Friday. The Lourdes children and Mr McAllister invite all pupils to 'wear spots to raise lots!' and bring a £1 donation each (maximum £2 per family). There will be other fundraising activities, including face painting in the 'Hall of Fun'.
